Raising a child and supporting their individual needs isn't always straightforward. Some days flow well, whilst others feel impossible to get through. How ever today's going, welcome. I'm glad you're here.
Your child may be having difficulty managing or expressing big emotions, following instructions, building relationships, or they may become physical or throw things or scream. They may have difficulty meeting traditional expectations in mainstream schooling or with behaving in a way that others expect of them. They might be worried and anxious often or have a low mood and low self confidence and not be able to do the things they want or need to do.
You may be struggling with the overwhelm with you child’s needs, emotions or challenging behaviours, feeling like you’re failing as a parent or like you don’t know how to help your child. You may feel like you’re not the parent you want to be and be worried about continuing intergenerational patterns in your family.
You are not alone and it doesn’t have to be this way.
Hi, I’m Emilie
Endorsed Mental Health OT &
Parent Educator
I work with children and young people experiencing challenges with emotional regulation, anxiety, low mood, social skills, sleep, school engagement and relationships including neurodivergent kids and their families. As much as I work with children, I also work with parents and support people as that’s where big change happens. So many parents know something isn’t right but just aren’t sure how to support their child in the moment when things are tough.
I’m here to help you build real understanding and practical skills without the one-size-fits-all approach through therapy, education, resources and community, so you feel confident and equipped to support your child in the way that fits them best.
